Australian Duathlon Championship 2013 – held at The Champions Lakes Regatta Centre.

The 2013 City of Armadale Duathlon is WA’s Premier Duathlon Event and this year will host the Australian Duathlon Championship! The event is a qualifying race for the Australian Team for the 2014 World Duathlon Championships.

The Champions Lakes Regatta Centre is a purpose built multisport venue which hosts sports such as Rowing, Canoeing, Dragon Boats,Open Water Swimming, Cycling, Triathlon and Duathlon. The venue provides a challenging and safe location to host events, as well offering terrific spectator access on the multi lap course.

Duathlon follows a run-bike-run format and is a great introduction into multisport. For those experienced triathletes as well as being a great ‘warm-up’ event it is also a great way to track your fitness after the winter months have passed. Held at the Champion Lakes Regatta Centre the Event is the 8th race in the Series with one event in each State. A great sports event photography for us as it was a nice cool sunny morning in Perth. Photo below was taken at the first Leg of 5km run around Champion Lake. Photos by David Chong, Perth Photographer.
